Why didn't I get a notification?

Start with the bell at the top of Movo. Every family that needed you has a row there, no matter what your email or text settings say.

  • No row under the bell? Movo never sent it to you. See the first list.
  • There is a row, but no email or text? See the second and third lists.

There's no row under the bell

  1. It went to someone else. Movo asks the people closest to the family first. If nobody answers in time, it asks the next person up. If you weren't the person it was asking, you didn't hear about it. Open the family in Needs You and click History to see who was asked and when.
  2. Someone already answered. Once one person replies, Movo stops asking everyone else.
  3. It's a type you don't see. Questions about refunds and help paying go straight to your organization's admins. Concerns about a child's safety go to a small group of named people. Nobody else is told about those.
  4. You haven't accepted your invite. Movo doesn't contact you until you've joined. Until then, the next person up gets asked instead.
  5. You're not on the list. Your admin sets who gets asked, and in what order, under Settings, then Escalations. If nobody is listed for a step, Movo skips to the next one.

There's a row, but no email

  1. Email is turned off. Check the Email switch under Settings, then Notifications. Clicking Unsubscribe in an old Movo email turns it off too.
  2. It landed in spam. Search your spam folder for Movo and mark it as safe. Some organizations send Movo's emails from their own address, so ask your admin if you're not sure which sender to look for.

There's a row, but no text

  1. You haven't added your mobile number. Texts stay off until you do. See Getting texts instead of emails.
  2. It was outside 9am to 9pm. Movo holds texts overnight and sends them at 9am. The bell row and email arrive right away.
  3. You replied STOP to a Movo text. That turned texts off and removed your number. Text START to the same number, then add your number again under Your account.
  4. Texts aren't set up for your organization. If there's no Text switch in Settings at all, click Get help and ask us.
  5. You got a new phone. Texts keep going to the old number until you add the new one.

No evening digest

  1. Nothing happened today. Movo only sends the digest on days when a family registered or a new request came in.
  2. It's not evening yet. The digest arrives around 8pm Eastern or 5pm Pacific, an hour earlier in winter.
  3. Your access only covers families assigned to you. The digest adds up a whole area, so people with that kind of access don't get one.
  4. The Email digest switch is off. It's a separate switch from Email.

Still stuck?

Click Get help in Movo. Tell us which family you expected to hear about and roughly when. We can see exactly who was notified and how.
