Choosing where a form's families land

Last updated: October 9, 2026

Every form sends its families into an audience. The audience decides how Movo opens the conversation, which stage families start at, and which council, district or unit they belong to. You can pick an audience you already have, or make one from the form.

Pick an audience

  1. Open the form and click Edit form, then the Settings tab. (On a new form, you reach Settings by clicking Next: settings.)
  2. Click Families land in and pick an audience.

Under the box, Movo tells you where families from this form will land, for example "Families from this form land in Greater Colorado Council".

Make a new audience for the form

  1. Click Families land in, then New audience at the top of the list.
  2. Check what the new audience starts with. Movo fills it in the way most form audiences are set up:
  • A name after your website, like "Website form - pack34denver.org".
  • Who the audience is for. Choose your council, district or unit here. It decides where families land.
  • Outreach without a unit, turned on. Families who don't say which unit they want get a text from Movo, which helps them pick one. Turn it off if you'd rather assign them yourself.
  • The first behavior, which is how Movo opens the conversation. Movo picks the website behavior your organization uses most.

  1. Further down, check the note Movo will mention to families and the stage they start at, usually Request Information. Then click Create and use.

The new audience is created straight away and picked for your form. Remember to save the form.

Which audiences can't I pick?

Audiences filled automatically by a Scouting America feed, like the BeAScout ones, aren't offered. A form would mix its families into that feed. If your form already uses one, it keeps it.
