Creating a website form
Last updated: October 9, 2026
A website form lets families ask about joining, right from your website. When a parent sends it, Movo adds the family and texts them within a minute. You build the form in Movo, then paste a short code onto your site.
Create the form
- Go to Settings, then Channels. In the Website forms box, click New form.
- Your form starts with the questions most organizations ask: the parent's name, mobile and email, the child's name and age, and a box for anything else. Click any question to change it, or click Add a field to ask something more. See Changing a form's questions, wording and colour.
- When the questions look right, click Next: settings.
- Give the form a name your team will recognize. Families never see it. Under Families land in, pick the audience families from this form join, and choose the form's language.
The audience decides Movo's first message, the stage families start at, and the council, district or unit they belong to. If you don't have one for this form yet, pick New audience at the top of the list. See Choosing where a form's families land.
- Add every web address the form will go on, and links to your organization's Terms and Privacy Policy. See A form's websites, language, consent and legal links.
- Click Create form.
Movo opens your new form's page. Next, copy its code onto your website: see Getting your form's install code.
Why is my new form off?
A form stays off until it links to your organization's Terms and Privacy Policy. Phone carriers require both next to the consent box. Add them in the form's settings, then turn the form on. See Turning a form on or off.
