Adding your form to your website

Last updated: October 9, 2026

Your form goes on your website as two short lines of code. Copy them from your form's page, paste them into your website editor where you want the form to appear, and publish. The form shows up within a minute.

Before you start

  • Make sure every web address the form will go on is listed in the form's settings, under Websites. The form only appears on those addresses, and scoutnow.org and www.scoutnow.org count as two different addresses. See A form's websites, language, consent and legal links.
  • Copy the code from your form's page. Click Install code, then Copy code. See Getting your form's install code.
  • Paste the code into the part of your editor that takes code or HTML, not the normal text box. In a normal text box the code shows up as text on your page instead of a form.

The code looks like this, with your form's own key in the first line:

<div data-movo-form="wf_7kQm2RtXcV9pLs4NbH8d"></div>
<script src="https://app.trymovo.ai/embed/form.js" async></script>

WordPress

  1. Open the page you want the form on. Click the + button to add a block, search for Custom HTML, and click it.

  1. Click Edit HTML in the new block.

  1. Paste your code into the box on the left. The form appears in the preview on the right. Click Update.

  1. Click Publish (or Update, if the page is already live).

Open the page on your website. The form is where you put the block.

If WordPress removes part of the code

On some WordPress accounts, saving the page quietly removes the second line of the code, and nothing shows where the form should be. If that happens, split the code in two:

  1. Keep only the first line, the one that starts with <div, in the Custom HTML block.
  2. Install the free WPCode plugin (Plugins, then Add Plugin, then search for WPCode). Then go to Code Snippets, then Header & Footer.
  1. Paste the second line, the one that starts with <script, into the Footer box and click Save Changes.

The second line can sit on every page of your site. It does nothing on pages without the first line.

On WordPress.com (rather than WordPress you host yourself), adding code needs a plan that allows plugins.

Squarespace

  1. Edit the page and add a Code block.
  2. Paste your code. Make sure the block is set to HTML.
  3. Save and publish the page.

Squarespace only runs code like this on its higher plans. If the block says scripts are turned off, that's the reason. Squarespace explains Code blocks in its own guide.

Wix, Google Sites and other website builders

  1. Look for a block called Embed code, HTML, or Custom code, and paste your code there.
  2. Publish the page.

Some builders put pasted code inside a box of their own on a different web address. If the form doesn't show, contact us with the page link and we'll get it showing. Wix explains its embed block here, and Google Sites here.

If you can't add code at all

Every form also has its own page. On your form's page in Movo, click Open live form and copy the address from your browser. Put it on a button or in your menu, like "Join us" or "Get more information". Families fill in the same form there.

The form isn't showing

See My form isn't showing up. The most common reasons are a web address that isn't listed in the form's settings, and code pasted into a normal text box.
