Turning a form on or off

Last updated: October 9, 2026

A form takes submissions only while it's on. You can turn it off at any time, for example between recruitment seasons, and turn it back on later. Its code can stay on your website: while it's off, families can't send it.

Turn a form on or off

Open the form and use the switch at the top right, next to its status.

If nobody has sent the form yet and it's off, you can also click Turn on in the middle of the page.

What each status means

  • On: the form is showing on your listed websites and taking submissions.
  • Off: someone turned it off. Families can't send it.
  • Needs legal links: add your Terms and Privacy Policy in the form's settings. The form can't be turned on until both are set.
  • No audience: pick where families land in the form's settings.
  • Audience paused: the form's audience is paused, or Movo is turned off for it, so families wouldn't be contacted. Submissions are refused until it's running again.
  • No websites: the form is on, but no web address is listed, so it shows nowhere. Add your site in the form's settings.

The Channels page shows every form's status, so you can spot one that needs attention.
