Adding a family by hand

If a family signs up in person, calls you, or isn't on any list, you can add them yourself in about a minute. Movo then reaches out to them just like any other new family.

Open Added manually

Go to Audiences and open Added manually. That's where families you add by hand live.

Under Add families, click Add a family.

Fill in the family

Type the parent's full name. Then add a phone number, an email, or both. Movo needs at least one so it can reach them.

Pick the location the family belongs to. If you know the children, click Add a child and type each name. You can also leave that empty and add them later.

Click Add family.

Confirm and send

Movo asks you to confirm two things before it texts anyone: the phone number and email belong to an adult, and the family agreed to hear from you. Tick both boxes, then click Message 1 family.

Movo sends its first text within a few minutes. Late at night it waits until the morning.

If the family is already in Movo

If you type a phone number or email Movo already has, it tells you who it belongs to before you add anyone. Don't add them again. Find that family instead, and fix their details if you need to. See Duplicate families.
