What happens after a family sends your form

Last updated: October 9, 2026

When a parent sends your form, Movo adds the family to the form's audience straight away and gets in touch within a minute. You don't need to do anything.

What Movo does

  • The parent ticked the consent box: Movo texts them. The first message follows the audience's first behavior, and the family starts at the audience's starting stage, usually Request Information.
  • The parent left the box unticked: Movo emails them instead, and only emails them.
  • The family is already in Movo: Movo doesn't add them twice. It adds a note to the family you already have, with what they sent.

From then on the conversation is like any other family's. You'll find it in Conversations, and anything Movo can't answer comes to Needs you.

Seeing what came in

Every submission shows on the form's page, with what Movo did with it. See Seeing a form's submissions.

When a submission isn't added

Now and then a submission shows as Not added. Open it to see why. The usual reasons are:

  • The phone and email belong to two different families already in Movo. Movo won't guess which one it is.
  • The form's audience isn't running, or Movo is turned off for it.

Nothing is lost: the submission stays on the form's page with everything the parent typed, so you can follow up yourself.
