How Movo handles your family's information
Your organization uses Movo to communicate with families by call, text, and email. Here's a plain-language overview of how your information is handled. For the full details, see our privacy policy at https://trymovo.ai/privacy-policy
Who can see your information
Your conversations, contact details, and any information you share are visible only to people at your organization who are permitted to see them. Access is scoped: staff and volunteers can only see families within their own part of the organization, and nobody can view conversations outside their scope. Call recordings and transcripts are never public. They can only be accessed by authorized people at your organization through a secure login.
Movo's own staff access is limited to what's needed to operate and support the service, and that access is logged.
Your information is not used to train AI
The content of your conversations is used for one purpose: communicating with you on behalf of your organization. We do not sell your information, use it for advertising, or use it to train general-purpose AI models. When AI providers process a message to generate a reply, they do so under contract on Movo's behalf, solely for your conversation.
You're always in control
You can opt out at any time. Reply STOP to any text and messaging stops immediately, and you can ask to end or pause any call. Opt-outs are honored across the board, not buried in a preferences page. Every email includes an unsubscribe link. If you'd rather talk to a person, just say so and you'll be connected with someone at your organization.
Data privacy and call recording
Calls are recorded and stored so your team can review them. At the start of every call, the agent gives its name and says which organization it is calling on behalf of.
If you have questions about the rules in your state, contact us and we will walk through them with you.
Children's information
Movo communicates with parents and guardians, not with children. If it becomes clear a child has picked up the phone or is texting, the conversation is wrapped up and picked back up with a parent. Requests to change a child's details on file are only passed along once we're confident the request is coming from that child's parent or account holder. Anything that touches on a child's safety or wellbeing is escalated to a real person right away.
Security and deletion
Information is encrypted in transit, protected by access controls, and changes are audit-logged. If you want your family's information deleted, ask your organization or contact us and we'll take care of it.
