What Movo knows about a family
Last updated: October 4, 2026
Every family in Movo has its own page. It shows who's in the family, what Movo has learned from talking with them, and everything that's happened so far. Here's what's on it.
Open a family's page
Go to Families and click the family. See Finding and exporting families if you need to search for them.
At the top you'll see the family's name, their status and their location. Below that are four tabs.
- Overview: who's in the family, and what Movo knows about them.
- Conversation: every text, email and call with the family. See Getting a transcript of a conversation.
- Activity: a timeline of messages, payments and sign-ups, newest first. Use the buttons at the top to show just one kind.
- Billing: what the family has paid, if your organization takes payments through Movo.
Who's in the family
The Overview tab starts with a card for each parent and child. A parent's card shows their phone number and email. Each card has its own status, so two children can be at different stages.
To change any of this, like a phone number or a child's location, see Fixing a family's record.
What Movo knows
Under the family cards, Movo keeps a short summary of the family and the things it has learned while talking with them. They're grouped by topic, like the children, what they're interested in, and when they're free. Each one says where Movo learned it, like a text or a call, and how long ago.
Movo fills this in by itself as it talks with the family, and uses it in later conversations. A new family shows a short line saying Movo hasn't learned anything yet.
Star a family
Starring a family keeps them easy to find. Click the star next to the family's name.
On Families, you can also hover over a family's initial and click the star there, or tick several families and click Star in the bar at the bottom.
To see only your starred families, click Filters on Families and turn on Starred. On Conversations, the Starred tab does the same.
Your stars are yours. Nobody else on your team sees them.
